  • From Our Hearts is a not-for-profit 501c3 that began with a simple request by a son for a few handcrafted cards so that he could send “special” cards home to his wife and children while he serving his 6th deployment in Iraq. Today, the initial dozen handcrafted cards have turned into thousands of quality, handcrafted cards created and donated to From Our Hearts every month by hundreds of stampers nationwide and shipped to our servicemen and women serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A 'certifiable' surprize weekend

Out of the blue, this package from Arlene D arrives on the office steps in Missouri this weekend:

Inside we found :

The two heart shaped notes were attached to a cool business card that says "Professional Stamper - Certified Rubber Maniac", don't we just love a stamper who tells it like it really is  . . .  LOL !

But wait, there's more. Seems like a bunch of certifiable stampers got together up in New York and made cards for our Troops.

The box contained a few hundred gorgeous cards and they came with both envelopes, regular and clear, ready to be shipped out ! Thanks to everyone in Syracuse and Binghamton NY who participated in the card making events.

Not to be outdone, over in Kansas, our office found 2 huge boxes on their front porch from Becky K,

 over 600 beautiful card fronts in these boxes and look at them . . .

Yes sirree, a certifiably great weekend, enough cards and card fronts for over 5 card store boxes to be sent to Afghanistan and Iraq. Thank you again to all the hard work, very talented stampers who care to send their very best work to our service personnel protecting our freedom.

Mailing Deadlines

  • 2010 special shipments will be mailed on or about the following dates. Deadlines for receipt of cards is 2 weeks prior to their mailing dates to give us time to prepare them for shipment:
    St. Patrick's Day: February 1
    Easter: February 22
    Mother's Day: March 22
    Father's Day: May 3
    4th of July: May 24
    Halloween: September 13
    Thanksgiving: October 1
    Christmas/Holiday: October 30

    All occasion cards are mailed over every 4-6 weeks, depending upon the numbers of donations received and available funds.
