Florida and Alabama Stampers Contribute

The Creative Queens from Dade City, FL mailed a box with 139 cards and some unfinished card kits, too.

They write: "Please find enclosed our donation of cards for our troops.  We are all very grateful for the service and want to give our donation along with our prayers.  Thank you to you as well for all you do to make it happen."  You are so very welcome.  We appreciate the contribution - if not for the generous hearts of so many of you, WE could not do what we do!  We impact so many lives and we know that we are making a difference, one card at a time...

Our next contributor is from Piedmont, Alabama.  Fran K stamps with 3 different groups of ladies at 3 different churches each and every month - creating 90 cards that she mails to us like clockwork - and this month, the ladies from St Joachim, St Charles and Sacred Heart churches made these cards:

Each group makes 10 of each design.

They have their own special stamp that they use on each card - with "From Our Hearts" information and their church group also - wow, that is dedication!  And they also include a customized slip with each card, too.

As usual, the cards are very well made - they are taught and under the direction of Fran, a Stampin' Up!®  demonstrator.  And they turn out quality cards, every month.  We appreciate their dedication and hard work!

A new contributor to From Our Hearts, "JJ" S is from Ile-Perrot, Canada - another one of our northern neighbors who supports our cause.

She didn't send us a note inside her box, but we found 22 beautiful cards inside.

From Allen Park, MI, Sharon C mailed another box of cards made by the ladies of the Guardian Lutheran Church.  More "pillow" cards - and beauties they are - made with fabric.

This is a baptism card - we get very few of these, and what a special card this will be for a very special little one!

A Reminder...

 

Stamps and Tape and Cards and More

From South Bend, IN, Kim O recently boxed up not only cards, but stamp sets and mailed them to From Our Hearts for our use.

Kim created each of her 92 Christmas cards and added white/off white card stock inside each for writing.  We appreciate the extra step she took!

Lovely cards, each one - and Kim also added a check for us to help with our expenses.

Karen W is our next contributor from Crest Hill, Illinois.

250 cards is what we found - and each one, "box ready" - wow, we appreciate it!

Karen made 50 of each of the following:  Get well, Love You, Miss You, Thank You, and Thinking Of You.  This is a big help to us - filling the void we have experienced in this type of card!

Karen writes: "...will pick up making cards again in early 2012, I'm still addicted!"  Thanks Karen!!

A new contributor to From Our Hearts, Beth M from Columbia, PA mailed us 220 card fronts.  No note enclosed, and we wish to say "thank you" - each one of these fronts will be turned into a beautiful card.

The Mainely Caring Card Makers from Woolwich, Maine and headed by Phyllis M mailed another box -

27 rolls of double sided tape and packages of petite bow-tique (16 total) for our use at our events, locally - we appreciate the supplies!  In addition, 277 cards...

Remember, Valentines will be mailed out on or about January 2; From Our Hearts will need to have them in hand a few days prior so that we can get the boxes ready for shipping (if they are "box ready") - if they need work - ie. envelopes, clears or slips, please allow at least one week - and as always, WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Updated Statistics -

Here is the latest, updated statistics - comparing this year to last year.  We have mailed 20,404 more cards this year than last, and 84 boxes more, and we are not yet into the month of December.  We plan to mail several more boxes before our Valentine shipment in January (we need to mail out some boxes of Thank You cards for our troops to use after Christmas).  The number of cards we can put in each box depends upon the thickness of each card- and we have been receiving some very nice layered cards!  Please keep the cards coming - our service men and women appreciate the free service we are providing to them.

Since our incorporation as a not for profit in October 2009, 212,826 cards have been shipped, and almost half of them this year alone!  Thank you, to all of our contributors - for the cards, card fronts, supplies, and monetary support to help us ship over the boxes and to help us with the expenses (envelopes, clear envelopes, card stock, adhesive, packing tape, and printer ink, paper, and other little things that we need to keep our operation going!)  WE THANK YOU FROM OUR HEARTS!  None of this would be possible without your support.

Spanish, Hanukkah, and More Arrive

From Our Hearts took a few days off - and a much needed rest - and we are pleased at all the boxes that are arriving.  With our Valentine shipment just a few weeks away, we are gearing up for our next big shipment.  Valentines will be mailed over on or around January 2 - so please plan accordingly!

Diane O from Macomb, MI recently mailed a box of 110 cards and 85 card fronts  and we thank her!

Diane made 31 of the cards and she tells us the remainder came from another Stampin' Up!® demonstrator.

Nice cards, and we appreciate receiving much needed "miss you" cards!

Peggy S and the Paper Dolls of CCUMC from Clayton, NC mailed us 50 "box ready" Christmas cards.

Peggy writes: "These cards were made by children 9 and 13 years old and lots of grandmothers.  We are so happy to make these for those on the front.  To them we send them love and thanks."

The will know that these cards are made from their hearts!  Thank you, young and nearly young from Clayton!

Our next box arrived from Rome, NY and that means Arlene D has been busy again!

Arlene sent more supplies - cuttlebug folders (that work just fine in our Big Shot), fish clips and stickers, too - we never know what extras she will send with her cards...

And this shipment of 222 cards included Christmas cards, 149 in Spanish, and 73 Hanukkah cards, too.

Arriving just in time for our shipment, we are happy Rachel made the effort to get them to us!

From Our Hearts,

Thank you for volunteering and creating such beautiful cards.  I am here in Afghanistan and away from my girls and wife for all of the special days.  It means a lot to us guys to get support from wonderful people like yourself, so we can support the ones who make the biggest sacrifice, our wives and children.

I don't know how many thank yous you receive, but know you are helping families connect in a small way.  And we all know it is the small things that get us through in a big way.

A Found Card Makes Her Day

Hello all,

First I would like to thank Val of Riverside, CA.  Please tell her this for me. I was helping out at the Chaplain's office and I don't know why, yet something said look at this book I was placing on the shelf.  I opened it and found this card someone was using as a bookmark.  The book was something that I, myself, would never read so I am not even sure why I flipped through the pages.  The card was purple and said - Dream, Thinking of You.  It was such a beautiful card and I had been thinking of my husband all day.  So in saying this I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I know my husband does also because I wrote him a simple "I love you from across the sea" and mailed it that day.
