We have 3 events to post - one that From Our Hearts' is sponsoring on Oct 13 at the local HyVee grocery store in Jefferson City. Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are in need of "desk" style tape dispensers for this event, and ask that those attending bring one if they have it. FOH will supply the tape needed to assemble the cards. We have prepared nearly 3,000 cards and need help assembling them! So mark your calendar and plan to attend. We will be holding a raffle for 11 different baskets of stamping/scrapbooking items as a fundraiser to help with shipping the many, many boxes of holiday/Valentines. No experience necessary!!
On a side note, our heartfelt thanks to those of you who have sent us so many holiday cards - we are up to 29 boxes!! This is not nearly enough to send to the 38 contacts we have to date - and this number keeps increasing. Another two requests arrived today - proof that our cards are so very well received and in demand!

If you are a stamper/scrapbooker/crafter
please bring your own adhesives and tools (labeled with your name). It would be
wonderful if you would like to bring a holiday card (or any other
occasion) shoebox prepared in kits for mass production - NO glitter, NO
feathers, NO bulky embellishments please!
There will be plenty of
work to do so non-stampers are welcome, too! We need help with stamping,
assembling, collating all cards with envelopes and information slips, and
putting each card into clear jackets/baggies. We will teach those who have
never stamped before!
A pot of chili,
beverages, and paper products will be provided. Please add to the feast with a
snack/dish to pass.
From Our Hearts needs
MASSIVE quantities of cards for this holiday shipment!!! They serve at least 40 chaplains/contacts in
Afghanistan X 300 cards per box shipped = a MINIMUM of 12,000 cards needed!! FOH would probably like to send 2 or 3+ boxes of
300 holiday cards to each contact for the holiday shipments because each troop
has numerous family members to send cards to for Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.
(that's 36,000 cards!) Last Fall we sent FOH over 600 holiday cards!
